01SPEC SHEET

What is a portable handwashing station?

A portable handwashing station is a freestanding sink with fresh water, foot pumps, soap and paper towels. Ours has two basins so two people wash at once, a 22-gallon fresh tank and a 24-gallon gray tank, and it needs no hookups. In winter we protect or drain the water before a hard freeze.

02RATIO

How many handwashing stations do I need?

Plan 1 handwashing station for 1–10 toilets, 2 for 11–20, 3 for 21–30 and 4 for 31–40, then 1 more per 10 toilets. That's the PSAI ratio. Harvest crews of 11 or more need 1 handwashing facility per 20 workers under OSHA 1928.110, and food vendors need one in sight of the serving line.

03WINTER

What happens to sink water in a freeze?

Sink water can freeze on a Lubbock winter night, when December and January lows average in the upper 20s. When a hard freeze is forecast, we drain or protect the fresh-water tank and refill it on the next service. Toilets get a winter tank treatment. You'll get a text when we change your service for weather.

FAQFROM REAL CALLS

What callers ask before they book

Every question below was asked on a real rental call. The short answer comes first, then the conditions that change it.

Do I need a handwashing station?

Add one whenever food is served, at petting zoos, and on jobsites where crews handle paint, coatings or chemicals. Plan 1 station per 10 toilets. Deluxe units have their own sink, which covers small parties.

Do harvest crews need toilets?

Yes, on farms with 11 or more hand laborers. OSHA 1928.110 requires 1 toilet and 1 handwashing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk, unless crews are in the field 3 hours or less. Towable units move with the crew.

Do porta potties freeze in a Lubbock winter?

The holding tank rarely freezes solid, but handwash water and flush tanks can. When a hard freeze is forecast, we add a winter tank treatment and drain or protect sink water. December and January lows average in the upper 20s.

Can I add a service visit?

Yes, from $80 a visit. Big jobsites, three-day events and tailgate lots often add one. For multi-day festivals, the most useful slot is overnight between day one and day two.

How often do you clean it?

Long-term units get serviced once a week. Each visit we pump the tank, disinfect, scrub, deodorize and restock. Event units arrive clean. Busy sites, summer heat and multi-day events can add extra services.
